In a most interesting presentation Kate told us all about the objectives of the organisation but emphasised that membership was less a commitment to actively help achieve those objectives, more an opportunity to learn more about the fine arts around us. The club is an actively social environment where one can listen to presentations by experts in their chosen fields, visit galleries and places of interest and even go on short international breaks to see works of art with members who have also become friends with common interests.
