The Clifton team of David Sutton,Keith Bonham, Geoff Lock and Richard Brown won their epic match of the century against Kingswood Rotary with their very last throw. Coming from behind they snatched victory from the jaws of defeat to win by 4 points, the final scores being Clifton 60 to Kingswood 56, each side winning 3 games each.
For those interested in trivia, one of the New York baseball teams in the 1930s (the Brooklyn Dodgers) had a female supporter who used to break into song at the end of each match. There was no singing in our match but there was plenty of fun, banter and friendly conversations with a terrific team from Kingswood.
