It was Millionaires’ Golf for Rotarians Simmonds, Powell, Sutton and Brown at Henbury Golf Club on 10th August. To add to the excitement, we were joined by Graham Chamberlain and David Liddiatt at the start of our round.
The teams were decided over lunch on Henbury’s magnificent terrace. Team Pasta Salad (Sutton and Brown) were pitched against Team Sandwich (Simmonds and Powell).
Team Sandwich roared to an early lead but in the last few holes the additional calories and carbs of Team Pasta Salad led them to victory.
Quote of the Day came from Bruce as he emerged empty handed from the bushes on the final hole: “Chaps I’ve lost my Noodle!!”
As we enjoyed a well deserved drink on the 19th Hole plans for our next golfing outing were discussed and will be announced shortly.
