Welcome to our club

Michael Wood, Club President 2021-24

Welcome to The Rotary Club of Clifton (Bristol) web site. I hope that you find the details of the Club and its work interesting and informative. We are a very sociable club who enjoy each other's company and contribute actively and make a difference within our community and internationally. We enjoy fund raising, community service and social events and we have weekly lunchtime meetings which help to build lasting friendships and business relationships. The Club was established over 50 years ago and at present has over 30 members.

What is Rotary?

Rotary is a facilitator for good and a connector of people and is an amazing experience. Members meet countless people who are passionate about making our world a better place for all and are given opportunities to understand and respond to challenges being experienced in communities both here in the UK and overseas.

The Rotary network gives access to personal and professional training, enhancing skills that are beneficial in the workplace as well as supporting community projects. But it’s not all about giving, Rotary also gives back to members as strong friendships with a trusted network of enthusiastic and like-minded people are developed. There are over 43,000 Rotary members in the UK and Ireland and over 1.2 million worldwide and members are welcome to visit any club.

There is a Club lunchtime meeting every Wednesday between 1pm and 2pm where members have some social time as well as hearing an interesting speaker. The venue for our meetings is:
