Thank you to all who were able to help out at yesterday's Swimarathon, particularly those who did additional shifts and to David P. who oversaw refreshments.
Over 120 swimmers took part and swam a total of 3,632 lengths, covering more than 56 miles. One or two sessions were rather quiet whilst others were a little too hectic, but I think a good time was enjoyed by those who participated.
We were particularly indebted to Jonathan and William, who were lifeguards throughout the event. Jonathan has been a lifeguard at the event for many years and his attentiveness and attention to detail are enormously reassuring.
As always, Mark, the pool manager, was very helpful.
