Following Lucy's induction last week as a friend of Clifton Rotary, we have received a copy of the letter she has circulated to Clifton Village businesses.
In it she stated:
'Dear All,
We are incredibly proud of the strong and trusted relationship we have built with Clifton Rotary Club over the past year. Their support has been unwavering - always generous, always good natured, and always rooted in a genuine commitment to the community.
Their contribution was especially visible during the Christmas Lights Switch-On, Clifton Rotary provided nine stewards on the night. Their presence made a real difference and was instumental in ensuring the event ran smoothly, safely and successfully.
We are truly grateful for their continued support and very much look forward to working together again in 2026.
This Saturday, 20th December, Clifton Rotary will once again be in Clifton Village, as they have been for many years, collecting donations for the Lord Mayor of Bristol’s Children Appeal - a long standing appeal that has been running since the 1920s. This vital cause provides much-needed financial assistance for food and toys for underprivileged children across Bristol. Each year, Clifton Rotary helps raise vital funds, and most recently donated an impressive £5,000 from the Fireworks event at Canford Park.
You’ll easily spot the Clifton Rotary collectors in their bright red tabards — please do stop and support this wonderful cause in Clifton Village.
Beyond the Lord Mayor of Bristol’s Children Appeal, Clifton Rotary Club organises and supports a wide range of community and youth-focused events, including the Fireworks Display, Youth Speaker Competition, Young Photographer Competition, and Young Chef Competition - all designed to encourage confidence, creativity and opportunity for young people.
Looking ahead to 2026, upcoming Clifton Rotary events include
