Known to several of our members he received a warm welcome by President Michael before regailing us with humorous anecdotes of his long career in broadcasting. Known mainly for his appearences in light entertainment TV shows he worked with numerous stars including That's Life with Esther Rantzen, was the foil to Dave Allen in Dave Allen at Large and, together with Paul Heiney, presented In at the Deep End.
These shows together with appearances on many others plus his radio work provided him with all the material he needed to keep his audience laughing out loud, particularly at one stage where he sang a ribald ditty accompanying himself on a ukulele.
